Karen earned her undergraduate degree from Colgate University and her law degree, with honors, from the University of Maryland School of Law. After graduation, Karen worked at Drinker, Biddle & Reath in Princeton with a focus on commercial litigation. At Drinker, Karen litigated cases in the trial and appellate courts of New Jersey and the District of Columbia, and in the federal district court of New York.

In 2001, Karen joined the matrimonial department of Pellettieri, Rabstein & Altman. While there, Karen gained significant matrimonial litigation experience and successfully argued matters before the New Jersey Appellate Division and the New Jersey Supreme Court.

In 2005, Karen opened the Law Offices of Karen S. Law to pursue her vision for a law practice which could meet the needs of all clients whether by creative problem solving through mediation and collaborative law or vigorous representation in court.

Karen is admitted to the New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and District of Columbia bars. She has been qualified as a mediator pursuant to New Jersey Court Rule 1:40. She serves as a panelist for the Mercer County family courts in the Early Settlement Program and is a founding member of the Mid Jersey Collaborative Law Alliance.

Practicing law since 1998, Karen continues to work exclusively on family law related matters. She currently resides in Skillman, New Jersey with her husband and three children, Zachary, Brooke, and Grace.
